This is a picture I took of a deer I saw while exploring the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore Mt. Baldy park. I had the cheap kit lens on, so the quality isn't as good as some of my other lenses. But this is a perfect example of always having your camera with you. The worst picture is one that you don't get to take.

Pete on a pillow
Untouched picture of our dog Pete. I like the colors in this picture. Very sublime.

Black and white in the backyard.
This is a black and white picture taken in the very back of our yard. There's a lot of texture and contrast in it. A large depth of field is also present.

WMU Engineering Campus Courtyard
This is a heavily photoshopped picture of a courtyard at the WMU Engineering Campus. I shot in Camera RAW, reset the levels, sharpened, and blurred the top and bottom to create a small model appearance.
Julia in Elk Rapids
This is a picture that is also on my children's portrait page at http://www.thomasjohnsonphoto.com
Twins
This is a picture technique I learned that allows you to make it look like a person is a twin. It's kind of creepy don't you think?

Pete and I playing fetch in the backyard
It is pretty difficult to throw a cloth frisbee and catch a picture of Pete reacting at the same time. I wish Pete was more in focus, but I am pretty happy with this image.

Mark and Tina Houle b & w
This picture was taken on a photoshoot with a couple friends of ours.
They are on the footbridge near the Curwood Castle in Owosso, Michigan.
It was shot originally in color. I converted it to black and white and upped the contrast with levels.
